Some information on the Rallye:
I purchased the rallye in August 1999 from
North Weald. The guy I bought it from flew
it to Sherburn so I could get an evaluation
done on it which it passed with flying colors.
I then hangered the Rallye at Beverley Linley
Hill my local airfield. I had some great
fun during August, September and October
but then came the rain and the airfield became
flooded. As I was grounded I looked for an
alternative airfield that wasn't experiencing
the same problems. Luck was on my side, I
found Eddsfield at Octon, East Yorkshire.
Eddsfield is a very friendly farm strip owned
by Edd Peacock. Edd is a fantastic farmer
and now friend. I have the greatest respect
for him as like me he loves aviation. Edd
wanted a share in the Rallye and so did a
friend of his Michael Whitley, so we had
a syndicate. Later we were joined by Frank
and so there were four. The syndicate is
running well however the plane is very under
utilized and we all need to make the effort
to fly it a bit more.
The Rallye was manufactured by Socata in
France and we have said on several occasions
that we will take it back to its homeland,
but so far we haven't got round to it.
I have two trips planned this year, Ireland
and France. So far I am planning to take
the Rallye to Ireland and the Microlight
to France but we will see..
Just to let you know I did get to Dublin
over the May Bank Holiday 2002 here is the
